Movement Strategies for the Hypermobile Client with Jeannie Di Bon - £125

Movement Strategies for the Hypermobile Client with Jeannie Di Bon - £125
Movement Strategies for the Hypermobile Client Hypermobility can go way beyond having flexibility. When working with this population, we need to be aware of possible other symptoms and conditions such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). This is invaluable for anyone working with clients in this specialist field. The material will be suitable for teachers, instructors, physiotherapists, osteopaths or anyone wanting a greater understanding of this condition. Through her own hypermobility/EDS and chronic pain issues, Jeannie was drawn to this client population and now has a thriving practice where she works predominantly with clients with hypermobility, EDS and chronic pain. Through spending time with the EDS community, Jeannie has heard first-hand the complex issues and difficulties often faced by these clients with exercise and Pilates. LEARNING OUTCOMES:
    • Review the latest research and information relating to hypermobility and EDS
    • Acquire the knowledge & skills to work effectively and confidently with this population
    • Examine the physical, emotional & psychological aspects of hypermobility
    • Analyse specific and foundational movements for the hypermobile client and understand the watch points.
Jeannie is a Polestar Comprehensive Studio Graduate. She is the author of the book Pilates Without Tears.  She regularly speaks for The Ehlers-Danlos Society at their European and Global Learning Conferences on the subject of movement therapy and EDS. She brings the latest research and information to all her teachings. Her articles on hypermobility and chronic pain can also be seen regularly on the Huffington Post, Thrive Global and The Mighty.
